UDPaaS Achieves FedRAMP In Process

eTRANSERVICES today announced that its Universal Design Platform as a Service (UDPaaS) solution received a “FedRAMP In Process” designation from the U.S. government’s Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). UDPaaS is hosted in ORockCloud and listed as “In Process” at the Moderate Impact Level on the FedRAMP Marketplace.

The “In Process” designation indicates that eTRANSERVICES and ORock Technologies are working with a Federal Agency to attain an Authority to Operate (ATO). UDPaaS received Agency sponsorship from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology within the Office of the Secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

UDPaaS is an intelligent business process management suite that uses actionable, near real-time insights from operations intelligence to increase the agility and scalability of business operations. It is used to design human-centered applications as a service. Based on the Human-Centered Design methodology for creating personalized applications, UDPaaS offers a high productivity (low-code/no-code) and configurable application development platform. Its development kits satisfy both the functional and emotional needs of end-users through collaboration, empathy, experimentation, and the resulting cloud-native applications.

FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. This approach uses a “do once, use many times” framework that saves cost, time, and staff required to conduct redundant Agency security assessments. To achieve a FedRAMP Moderate authorization, a cloud service provider must satisfy 321 security controls, including controls based on the NIST SP 800-53 Revision 4 baselines as well as additional security requirements that address the unique elements of cloud computing.

“Achieving ‘FedRAMP In Process’ status is a critical first step for UDPaaS and demonstrates our commitment to securing our government customers’ data in the cloud,” said Chris Beckford, CEO of eTRANSERVICES. “We look forward to gaining full authorization early in 2020 and offering Federal Agencies a secure platform that enables them to optimize and transform business processes into applications in weeks or months with virtually no custom coding.”
